How to Prep for Your Spray Tan
24 Hours Before
- ✓Exfoliate your entire body
- ✓Shave or wax (waxing MUST be done at least 24 hrs before)
- ✓No lotion or oil-based products on skin
Day Of
- ✓Come with clean, dry skin
- ✓No deodorant, perfume, or lotion
- ✓Wear loose, dark clothing (tan can transfer to fabric temporarily)
Immediately After
- ✓Wait 8–12 hours before showering
- ✓Avoid sweating, rain, or water contact
- ✓Don't apply lotion until after your first rinse
Make It Last
- ✓Moisturize daily after your first rinse
- ✓Avoid long, hot showers and chlorine
- ✓Pat skin dry (don't rub) after showering

Will it look orange?
No — our professional solutions are formulated to deliver a natural-looking bronze finish tailored to your skin tone. The streaky orange spray tan of the past is not what you'll get at Bare.
How quickly can I shower after a spray tan?
Wait at least 8–12 hours before your first shower (or longer for a deeper tan). We'll walk you through the specific aftercare instructions for the solution we use on you.
Is spray tanning available for events like prom or weddings?
